Confessions- and happily-ever-afters

Okay... I have to post again so that you will not feel sorry for me. I had just finished sending my other post. When I heard a noise behind me. I turned around to see mom and lucas coming to my bedroom with a tray and a present. So I ran and hopped into bed. And, yes, I did after all get my breakfast in bed. AND my sweet Lucas gave me a present. It was a shlep bag from Peace Crafts (one that I LOVE!) He's so cute!

And she had a birthday happily-ever-after.... until she got out of bed atleast ;-)

PS that is me and mom and very long time ago

planes, birthdays and automobiles

This morning I hit the alarm until 8:10. I should have gotten up at 7am or so, but I didn't. I was waiting, hopeing, dreaming that mom and dad would remember it is my birthday today cause if they did remember it is a family tradition to get breakfast in bed. Yum! Unfortunetly, they didn't remember. BUT I do have to give them lots of grace. Today me, mom and Lucas are packing to go to the states. Want to hear our CRAZY schedule?

October 28- leave at two to go to Banja Luka where Lucas and I will get our retainers tightend by the orthodontist. About 6:30pm pick up Kait, Nathan, and Steven and drive to Slavonski Brod.

Oct 29-30- Be in Brod and attend Kelly and Shannon's dance competition (which i'm really excited about)

Oct 31- Drive to Maribor, Slovenia to see my grandparents for a few days.

Nov 2- Drive to Zagreb early in the morning, meet up with dad and fly to Orlando, FL

Ten days later we fly to CA

Around 4 weeks later we fly back to Bosnia and land December 14th

TALK ABOUT CRAZY! Please pray that we wouldn't get behind on school. Because if I do I will not have much of a summer left.

I dont' know how long it will be before I can post again. (Hopefully not to long) Anyway be thinking of me :-D and comment lots so I know you guys LOVE me!!

But before I go I need to tell you about a dream that I had. Wow! It was beautiful. (and all you apple users out there will appriciate it)

I dreamt that we were on a history field trip and it happend to land on my birthday again. (remember Greece?) And so on my birthday I looked in my bag and pulled something out that I hadn't put in there. I pulled out the newest version of the iPod!!!!!! it had a big, color screen and it was just gorgeous! I was sooo happy I started jumping up and down and screaming! That's when I woke up. BUT when I looked at my alarm clock, it had turned into my ipod (but only for like a second).

In conclusion...(don't I sound so professional?)... I hope that you guys will be praying for me and my fam. OH, and I really appriciate all the e-mails and cards that I got. Makes me feel loved :-D (even if I didn't get breakfast in bed ;-D)

Disturbing?!

Tell me... does anything in this picture DISTURB you?!?

Yellow roses

I LOVE yellow roses. Now, I need to approach a common myth amoung my friends. A myth that I broke by a little research. Here is what I found... Yellow Roses
Yellow roses indicate friendship and freedom
NOT meaning 'ending an affair' I am officially happy, cause for the longest time I thought my favorite rose meant that someone was 'ending an affair'

Also, I thought that it was awesome the way yellow and red roses looked togather... BUT when I told my friends that they gave me a look like 'are you serious?' or 'tacky!' So please look at the picture about and see that beauty of the yellow and red rose combination. I also found the meaning of this beautiful combination- Red Roses + Yellow Roses
A message of happiness and celebration.

Okay so now I need you to rate my beautiful roses... give me your thoughts on yellow roses...

Speech, birthdays, and hard times

Its been a long time since I've updated, sorry guys...

Well, I was working double time on school so I could go to a speech weekend that Tiff and Joce were teaching. (Sound a little bizzare? Work twice as hard on school, just so I can attend more school?) Why? because.. This was different, this was new, this was exciting, this was speech. I had never really done an 'offical' speech class before but I had done miscellaneous speeches. Overall I really liked it! But maybe that's cause I love the teachers sooooo much (that's for you guys, cause you two are way hot! ;-)

Anyway, Friday night, after class all day everybody came over to my house for a birthday party!! We ate encheladias, and homemade icecream (and ofcourse cake). But was that the highlight of the weekend? I mean, how could anything be better then hangning out with your friends, and eating good food? WELL, do I have news for you! The absolute best part of the night was totally humiliating ourselves!!!! Right now your probably thinking... umm... okay.... or WHAT IN THE WORLD!? So let me explain myself a little bit. As a game for my birthday by great mother came up with a sort of a scavendure hunt. A hunt for what? Total Humiliation. Each team had a video camera and went around the city doing crazy things for the camera. Example: Sing 'Hello Dolly' as loud as you can on the kino stairs on the walking street (with ofcourse backup dancers singing and dancing behind you). Talk about HUMILIATION!! Oh but it was so fun! I mean how often do you do a choreographed hip-hop dance in the middle of the walking street? (whoa did we get looks for that one!) Over all... it was a blast!! (although I am now considering plastic surgery to change my identity)

Okay moving on to Sunday... we had 66 people over at our house for a goodbye party to Uncle Rob, the Edgars and Eisenburgs. It was a very special time where a lot of people told eachother what they appriciate of eachother, and shared special stories. I have to tell you all my heart hurts. My dear friend Kait is leaving to permenetly go back to the states... ouch. It is times like these that make you want to lie in your bed and not get up. Times like these that make you want to rewind time, just so that you can spend more time with her....times like these that makes being an MK so hard. What would I do without my Savior? Who would I turn to with this pain? What a relief it is to know that He has everything in control. A verse has kept on playing again and again in my head- Romans 8:28 'And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.' And so I know that God is going to get me through this, just like He has gotten me through everything else.

Momentous occations

Well today the alarm went off at 5:30AM. Ten minutes later, I rolled out of bed. Why was I getting up so early? Was I such a dedicated student that I wanted to get all my school-work done as soon as possible? Did I want to do something nice for mom and dad like cleaning the house to surprise them? Well... no. Me and mom went to Sarajevo to get our hair cut. (And boy was it about time, it has been six months since my last cut, and I was begining to look shaggy.) Man, did the hairdresser cut off a lot! I had a huge pile of hair surrounding the chair once she was done. No, it is not exactly what I asked for, but I kinda like it. My hair is now in a bob-cut, at chin length.

hAAA just kidding! It is a different look for me though. (But not too different for other people, in fact probably most guys won't even notice a difference).

Okay... enough talk about my hair, cause it gets boring after a paragraph or so... PSATS..... yep, their done! They weren't too bad, but I have no clue how I did. I think I did okay on the math section though... cause it was pretty easy. After taking the test Shannon and I restored our brain cells with Subway and McDonalds pie. YUM! After that we felt much better. Thanks for praying for me, who ever did, I sure appriciate it.

It is a beautiful day today. All the fall colors highlight the moutains, and the sun has a golden tint.

Oh, by the way only 10 more days til the most important day of the year!
Goodbye my adoring public!

Well I'm off to Zagreb to take my PSATs. I'll be returning monday, or sunday. Pray for Shannon, Kait, and I as we take them.

Oh... had a dream last night that I was a old Jewish lawyer. Yes, I was a guy. It was funny when I swam, cause I could swim as fast as a boat can go. It was amazing! Oh, I did end up winning the case that I was involved in. Horray! Then I went home and cooked something... yes, interesting

... have to go get ready to leave....
Volim Te,
Larissa

PS the pictures are from my Geneva trip, the moutain one is in France though...

Dance with Me

Well it is Tuesday, my new favorite day of the week. Why? Well for the last month+ I've been taking weekly dance lessons. I am loving it! Tonight we danced the Rumba, Cha-cha-cha, 'slow-fox', 'rock n roll', waltz, and some greek traditional dance. Cha-cha-cha was definetly my favorite, yes, even though I didn't get it all.

Just recently have I relalized my real love for dance. Every Tuesday night when I get home, I proclaim to my parents "I now want to be a professional dancer." But every Monday night I am positive that I am going to be a chemistry major. :-)

Please pray for me Saturday. I am taking my PSATs in Zagreb. I'm not really nervous, but still need prayers. Last night I dreamed about taking them. I was SOO nervous I could hardly stand it. Then when I actually looked at the test itself I couldn't read it, it was in jibberish!! But no one else in the class had a problem reading it!! haha!

Well need to go and edit my literature papers.
God bless you,
Larissa

P.S. I got a retainer. But that is for the next post, after all that kind of new needs a picture! ;-)
g'night
